DEPARTURE CHECKLIST

Ensuring a smooth and stress-free departure.

Whether you're wrapping up a vacation, business trip, or a temporary stay, this checklist is designed to help you tie up loose ends and leave with peace of mind. From packing essentials to closing out accommodations and handling last-minute tasks, our checklist covers all the bases.

Septic Tanks
All of our Holiday Rentals have septic tank systems. Therefore, some care is needed to maintain a healthy system. Nappies, nappy liners and sanitary items must not be flushed. We request that you use a container for all fat or pan drippings and that food waste be placed in rubbish to avoid blockages. Any costs to correct blockage problems because of incorrect disposal of these items will mean charges will be passed on to you accordingly.

Linen
If linen is provided with your accommodation, please ensure it is used for the purposes for which it is intended. i.e.: Please do not use bath towels for the beach or tea towels to clean BBQ etc.

If linen is NOT provided with your accommodation, please DO NOT use the owner’s supplies – You will be charged for the laundering of this ($25 per person).

Umbrellas
If your property is supplied with an umbrella, please ensure any used Umbrellas are put down in windy conditions and overnight to secure.

PLEASE NOTE that the one-off cleaning service charge is to cover our basic cleaning only and the laundering of linen So when you leave could you please ensure to do these few things prior to your DEPARTURE:

CHECK OUT: 10.00 am unless prior arrangements have been made.

The house is left in presentable condition, as it was found.

Dishes are all dishwasher washed & put away; and the kitchen is left tidy.

Any outdoor moved furniture is put back in its original position. Indoor furniture must not be moved outside. (Apart from bean bags)

BBQ plates are cleaned, and BBQ cover put back on. Please oil plates before use and wash after use, so that it is ready to use for the next guests. Put it back in the garage. A fee will be taken from your bond of $50 if the BBQ is left in a bad state.

Used beds where linen was supplied, are to be left unmade or if stripped to be put in the laundry room. (Please do not start washing laundry as cleaner may not come straight away). Please note if soiling were to happen please change all linen and mattress, pillow protectors straight away, please feel free to contact us to assist as we understand accidents do happen and again a stitch in time saves nine. We pride ourselves in providing clean bedding, please help us do this.

All heaters, electric towel rails, and electric blankets are switched off.

Any damages or breakages please report to Sara. (Damage fee left up to discretion).

Check that all the doors, and the windows are shut and locked securely.

Rubbish please use the guide in this folder.

Please return the keys and any garage and/or alarm remotes to Beach Rentals offices at 136 Pukehina Parade. If office is unattended, please leave keys etc. in the white drop box on the trellis fence on deck of the office.
